Effective 08/03/2015 to 08/21/2018

Regulation Authority:

Chapters 40-6 and 40-8 of the Rhode Island General Laws, as amended; Title XIX of the Social Security Act

Purpose and Reason:

Effective April 1, 2015 and July 28, 2015, this Medicaid rule was amended by an “emergency” filing to reflect the 2015 changes in the Federal Poverty Level [FPL] guidelines that were cited in the January 29, 2015 Informational Bulletin from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. These rules are also being amended to reflect 2015 cost of care figures. The State is adopting these amended rules to set forth these provisions in a timely manner in order to prevent wrongful denial, discontinuance, or interruption of benefits for Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries. This is a final filing of the emergency regulations.
